Amateur Memorial

Cycling Race

As a mark of appreciation by amateur

cyclists in this State of the part played

by racing cyclists in the present war and

the supreme sacrifice made by the for-

mer State and Sturt Club junior cham-

pion (Frank Pepper), Jack Carr, Charlie

Price and Jas. McInerney, members of

the Sturt Districts Amateur Cycling Club,

a 32-mile combined memorial senior and

junior open handicap road race win be

conducted by the club, in conjunction

with the Amateur Cyclists' Union, at

Edwardstown at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow.

Starting from the Maid of Auckland,

South road, the course will be to the

Port Noarlnnga turn-off and return.

After the race an adjournment will

be made to the dining-room of the Maid

of Auckland Hotel, where officials, com-

petitors and supporters will observe two

minutes' silence.
