After Demob

Roger returned to Newdegate and share farming.

Mary Elizabeth (Bet) and Roger married on 5 March 1955 and were Blessed with daughters Terri, Debra, and Glenda in 1956, 1957, and 1958.

In 1959, Roger was granted a land allotment under the Soldier Settlement Scheme.  The family moved to Rocky Gully, in south-west Western Australia, where they farmed beef cattle, Merino Fine Wool, and fat lambs.

Roger was a founding member of the Western Districts Football Club and tennis and pony clubs in Rocky Gully.

In 1985, Roger and Mary Bet retired to Albany, Western Australia.

An avid angler, he also captained the Little Grove Golf Club.

Roger passed away on 10 August 1994.

Thirty years later, to the day, we will dedicate our Memorial to the accident he survived.
